Fallen Angel is a deep purple shimmer polish with a strong duochromatic effect in the bottle, and a faint one on the nails. The base is a dark blurple and the shimmer particles are rather large, which gives this polish its incredible depth. The formula is okay, neither bad nor good. Three coats were necessary for me, but I think you can get away with two thicker coats. It dries a bit slower than I would like, and dries with a semi-matte, almost satin finish due to the shimmer. This is three coats and one coat of Seche Vite topcoat.
I’ve been drooling over this polish for months but I still didn’t buy it. I don’t know why, maybe because I always thought I could use the money on a “better brand” or something. But then, last weekend, my brother returned a bag with some dressing up clothes his girlfriend had borrowed (check out her blog Cosmopolish here), and in the bag were two Viva la Diva polishes. Apparently we had done a swap ages ago that I had completely forgotten about, so imagine how happy I was when I saw this polish in that bag! I had to swatch it immediately, which I did, but haven’t had time to edit any photos until now due to craziness at work.
Isn’t it just absolutely stunning?!
