Autumn is here and I am back! Due to some personal stuff I will probably not be able to post as often as I would like, but I really will try. Especially after so many of you answered my question about which you’d rather see here – tutorials or swatches (the result was pretty much 50/50). But, let’s focus on the polish at hand (ha-ha)!
Black Diamond is a dark charcoal grey shimmer polish with hints of tiny glass flecks, and was on my wishlist for a while before I got it for my birthday from my best friend. How awesome is that?
It’s fairly easy to work with, slightly on the runny side of things but as long as you keep the coats thin it shouldn’t be a problem. This is two thin coats and no topcoat, but I can see now that a third would have been needed because of bald spots. I found cleanup a bit of a challenge though, since I messed a bit on the first coat due to the unexpected runny formula, the polish crept in under my cuticles and stained my fingers slightly. It also left behind traces of the glass flecks, but those usually go away as soon as you wash your hands.
All in all, this is a real pretty polish for autumn (and we all know how much I love autumn shades – or, at least I know!), and as a part of the standard range, it’s easy to find too, even here in Sweden! Gorgeous, hey?
