Muir Muir on the Wall is a dark, vampy duochromatic polish, shifting from warm purple to dark gold (to green in some lights). I was expecting a stronger duochromatic effect on the nail, since it’s fairly strong in the bottle, but it is still very, very beautiful. This is three coats and topcoat.
This polish is named after the Muir (pronounced “myoor”) Woods National Monument north of San Francisco, a kind of reserve protecting the redwood trees growing there. Therefore, I think that the color they chose for this polish is absolutely spot on. It’s always been a dream of mine to see the redwood forests of northern California, but for now I’ll have to make due with this fantastic nail polish.
